amuel L. Jackson grew up an only child, raised by his mother. He only met his father twice during his life, though his grandparents were often around. Kids at school made fun of him for his stutter, but he says the bullying just inspired him to study harder, and to learn how to „pretend to be other people who didn’t stutter“. He credits his aunt for giving him his start as a performer. She taught drama and never had enough boys for the roles in her productions.
