Residents of Manaus, the capital of Brazil’s Amazonas state, stand in line to collect or refill oxygen cylinders, as hospitals run out of stock in the virus-stricken city — which has a Covid-19 death rate of 143 per 100,000 inhabitants, one of the highest in the country — and total deaths from the virus pass 2 million worldwide.
