The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival, one of Japan’s three major fireworks events, illuminated the skies above the Shinano River in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture across two nights on August 2 and 3, drawing large crowds to one of the country’s most celebrated summer traditions.
