Gold Country Wildlife Rescue in Sacramento, California rescued a black bear cub who was found orphaned in El Dorado County. Discussing the rescue in a press release on August 26, after one round of surgery, a new infection prompted them to examine the cub again, only for veterinarians to discover an intact less-than-lethal beanbag round lodged in its body.
