A Chinese jade carving of a crouching dog believed to date from the early Ming dynasty — approximately between 1380 and 1420 — is set to go under the hammer at Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire on Wednesday, having been picked up for just £1 (1.35 USD) at a car boot sale only two months ago.
