A German plane carrying the French-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal, who was pardoned by Algerian government after a year in prison, lands at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. A prize-winning figure in North African modern francophone literature, Sansal is known for his criticism of Algerian authorities as well as of Islamists. IMAGES
