Amantina dos Santos Duvirgem, known as Dona Julia and considered by local officials to be one of the oldest people in the world, celebrated her 126th birthday in the Caetano Mendes district of Tibagi, Parana, on July 30, smiling and clapping along as a singer performed for her before she reached over to sample the icing on her birthday cake.
