More than 100,000 visitors gathered at the former Tempelhof Airport in Berlin on September 12 for the 13th annual Festival of Giant Kites, watching more than 2,000 kites take to the skies whales, Batman, Superman and giant schools of neon koi fish, with the largest creations reaching up to 54 yards in length.
