Volunteers take part in a clean-up operation to collect large quantities of bananas that washed up on the south coast of England after an incident in which a container ship capsized near the Isle of Wight. The Baltic Kipper cargo ship lost 16 containers on Saturday, including eight containing bananas, two containing plantains and one containing avocados, according to the British coastguard. The authorities have urged the public not to consume the washed-up fruit. IMAGES
