Bacup Cricket Club in Lancashire hosted the 2026 World Gravy Wrestling Championships on August 31, with contestants dressed as The Grinch, Spider-Man and Ali G among others wrestling for two minutes in a giant pool of Lancashire gravy in aid of the East Lancashire Hospice.
